[IKE16-16]National Pension Plan: Residents of Japan aged 20 to 59 participate in the national pension fund. After reaching the age of 20, residents are required to enroll as the primary insured person at their local city, ward, or village office municipal office. However, participants in the employee pension insurance system or a mutual aid association or their dependent spouses are not required to enroll in the national pension fund.
