[IKE23-20]【Sending Your Child to Daycare or Kindergarten】
●In Japan, there are two places children can go to before elementary school.
Most children in Japan go to nursery school or kindergarten.

If you are raising a child in Japan, have you thought of where you’d like to send your child?
There are many benefits to sending your child to a nursery school/kindergarten.

●If you wish to send your child to a daycare center or kindergarten starting next April, you need to apply.
They generally begin accepting applications in October or November.
This varies according to where you live, so please inquire at your local municipal office.

If you need an interpreter, please call the "Multilingual Support Center Kanagawa" in advance.
Telephone interpreting service is available free of charge.

●For the class of children aged 3 to 5, there is no charge for nursery school and kindergarten.
*Nursery school is free of charge from April 1 after the child's third birthday. Kindergarten is free of charge if the child enters after his/her third birthday (there is a monthly limit of 25700 yen).
