[IKE19-28]【Bicycle Insurance is Now Mandatory】
Do you have bicycle insurance?
In Kanagawa Prefecture, every bicycle user is now obliged to have bicycle insurance.
The insurance is to compensate for the other party's life or bodily injury, in case you have caused an accident while riding your bicycle and, for example, injured someone.
It is generally called "liability insurance" or SONGAI BAISHO SEKININ HOKEN.
When your child rides a bicycle, you need to take out insurance.

Check to see if compensation for bicycle accident-causing damage is included in the insurances you already have, such as fire, automobile or any other insurance your company may have.

●If included, there is no need to buy any bicycle insurance.
●If not included, you need to buy bicycle insurance.

A bicycle with a "TS Mark" sticker means that its owner has insurance.
The "TS Mark" includes liability insurance, which is valid for one year after the purchase.
To get a "TS Mark", you need to have your bicycle inspected and serviced at a bicycle shop.
