[IKE15-24]Be Careful to Prevent Heat Stroke
Please take care to prevent heat stroke when having exercise or having to do work at hot and humid places, or when temperatures rise suddenly. Symptoms include higher body heat, lethargy, dizziness, and headache. In extreme cases, loss of consciousness or even death can occur. Children and the elderly are particularly susceptible, so they need to be especially careful.
Precautions against Heat Stroke
■Replace lost body water and salt through sweating, etc. Even if you are not thirsty, try to drink fluids occasionally.
■Wear light, comfortable clothing.
■When outside, walk in shade, wear a hat, or carry a sun umbrella.
■When indoors, open a window or use an air conditioner to cool the room.

※Information about heat stroke and medical facilities is available through multi-lingual consultation by telephone. Also, telephone interpretation during a medical examination is available.
