[IKE12-30]For non-Japanese residents approaching their 16th birthday: Since July 9, a new residency management system and resident registration system for foreign residents has been in effect. This information below applies to those who are approaching their 16th birthday.　Before the 16th birthday, it is necessary to apply for a Residence Card. (Applications are accepted six months in advance of the 16th birthday.)　Application can be made at the Immigration Bureau.
