■To drive a car in Japan
When you drive a car or a motor bike in Japan,
you are required to have a Driver's License.
You need to always have your Driver's License with you when driving.
In Japan, you can drive with the following 3 licenses.
１．Driver's license obtained in Japan
２．International Driving Permit
３．Foreign Driving License
■To obtain a Driver's License (UNTEN MENKYO)
You must take and pass the aptitude check (TEKISEI KENSA),
knowledge test (GAKKA SHIKEN) and driving skill test (GIJUTSU SHIKEN).
In Kanagawa Prefecture, the knowledge test can also be taken
in English, Chinese, Portuguese and Vietnamese.
In Japan, people usually attend a "Driving School (JIDOUSHA KYOUSHUJO)" to study driving techniques and knowledge.
