[IKE18-31] Wishes for a Safe Year: Happy New Year!
The new year is 2019, or Heisei 31 in the Japanese calendar.
It is the year of the boar in the Japanese zodiac.
The Heisei era will end on April 30th this year.
May 1st will mark the start of a new era in Japan.

Last year, Japan suffered from many natural disasters,
such as earthquakes or typhoons, across the country.
You can never tell when or where a natural disaster will occur.
Let's check the evacuation shelters and the ways to contact your family/friends.
