[IKE19-19]Exemption from National Pension Contribution "Kokumin Nenkin Hokenryou" for Pregnant Women
When pregnant, you can be exempt from paying your National Pension Contribution.
The term of the exemption will be a total of 4 months counting from the month prior to the month of delivery.
You can apply even after your delivery, so be sure to apply.

Those who meet all of the following conditions are eligible to apply:
・Being a resident in Japan aged between 20 and 60
・Paying contributions to the National Pension "Kokumin Nenkin" (such as people who are self-employed or engaged in agriculture and their families, students, part-timers, or unemployed)
・Expecting delivery after Feb.1, 2019.
Where to apply: At the city or ward office in your area
What to bring: Mother and Child Health Handbook ("Boshi Techo"), "My Number Card"
