●If you want to send your child to a nursery “Hoikuen” or a kindergarten “Yochien” starting next April, you need to apply to the municipal office in your area.
Application period is from October to November at most municipalities, although it varies from area to area.
We suggest you confirm with your municipal office early.

●Starting this October, preschool education and day care services will be made free for children between 3 and 5 years of age at kindergartens, nurseries, and “Nintei Kodomoen" (certified facilities for early childhood education and care).
Some procedures will be required. Please ask the municipal office in your area, or your child’s nursery or kindergarten for details.
