【Details】
In this seminar, you will learn general information regarding Japanese education system with focus on high school enrollment (Ex. Difference between elementary school and junior high school). For high school enrollment, we will also talk about enrollment period, tuition, and importance of high school education in terms of student’s career.
■ Content and Language
【Content】①Lecture、②Q&A session 【Language】Japanese
※ English interpretation will be provided. In addition, lecture material will be in Japanese, English, Tamil, and Nepalese.
■ Lecturer：TAKAHASHI Seijyu
Executive Director of Multicultural Education Network Kanagawa (ME-net)(Authorized NPO). Former high school teacher. While working as a teacher, he participated in establishment of ME-net and held “High School Admission Guidance For People Whose Mother Tongue Is Not Japanese”in 1995, the firs event of its kind in Japan.
Having been taking part in local study classes and supporting youth from diverse backgrounds for 28 years, he is currently supporting 4study classes (Miratobi-kyoushitu, Aikawa-kyoushitsu, CEMLA kyoushitsu, and Saturday class at Kawasaki high school).He is also advisor for “education for student with multicultural background”, the program run by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan(MEXT).
