- [IKE22-24a]【Advance Application for High School Scholarship】

There is a scholarship for senior high school students, called “Kanagawa Prefecture Senior High School Scholarship,” provided by Kanagawa Prefectural Board of Education.
It is an interest-free loan that you need to repay.
Those in their third year of junior high school who will enter senior high school next year can apply for this scholarship in advance.
You can also apply after enrollment, but advance application will enable you to receive the initial payment of scholarship earlier (the end of May) than after-enrollment application (the end of July).
●Qualification
１． Student living in Kanagawa Prefecture and planning to enter a senior high school in Kanagawa. (The location of the school can be outside Kanagawa as long as the parent/guardian lives in Kanagawa.)
２． Parent/guardian’s income-based prefectural resident tax and municipal resident tax totaling less than 507,000 yen for this fiscal year, or roughly 9.1 million yen in terms of annual income.
●Amount of loan per month
Public high school …10,000 yen-30,000 yen
Private high school…10,000 yen-50,000 yen
●Loan period
One year from April, 2023 to March, 2024
If you want to take out a loan for your second year too, apply again.
●What to submit
１．Application form
２．Residence certificate stating all the members in the household
３．Any of the following documents related to the parent/guardian’s income
・Notification of special collection amount of municipal and prefectural taxes (市町村民税・県民税特別徴収税額通知書) for 2022 (copy)
・Notification of amount of municipal and prefectural taxes (市町村民税・県民税税額決定・納税通知書) for 2022 (copy)
・Certificate of taxation (tax exemption) of municipal and prefectural taxes (市町村民税・県民税課税（非課税）証明書) for 2022 (copy accepted)
・Certificate of welfare receipt (生活保護受給証明書) issued by the head of municipality on and after Nov. 1, 2022. (original only, copy not accepted)

Must arrive by Jan. 16 (Mon), 2023
●Repayment
After graduating senior high school, you need to repay the loan during a period less than 4 times the period of loan provided.
