[IKE12-54]Be aware of the rubella virus and take care to avoid catching measles
Rubella, also called “three-day measles,” is a contagious virus that affects children and adults.
Recently there have been cases of men in their 20s to 40s contracting the virus.
Symptoms include a fever and a rash that looks like little red dots on the face and around the ears and neck. Sometimes glands around the neck become swollen. Pregnant women, or women who might be pregnant, who contract the disease risk bearing a child with heart or ear abnormalities.
・The virus is transmitted by coughing. Please wear a mask to prevent family and friends from catching the virus.
・If you have never had rubella, or if you have never been vaccinated, immunization is recommended.
