Here’s some information on fireworks festivals to be held in Kanagawa Prefecture.
These festivals will either be postponed or cancelled in case of bad weather, so please check their websites before you go.
Many people will be there and it will be very crowded. Be sure to use the train or bus.
■Hayama Beach Fireworks Festival
July 25th (Tues) 19:30-20:10; rescheduled for 26th if it rains on 25th.
Location: Off the coast of Morito, Isshiki Beach
Access: 10 min. by bus from JR Zushi Station. Get off at “Morito Beach” and walk 1 min.
■Odawara Sakawa River Fireworks Festival
Aug. 5th (Sat) 19:10-20:00; canceled in case of rain
Location: Sakawa River Sports Square
Access: 15 min. walk from JR Kamonomiya Station or 20 min. walk from JR Odawara Station.
■Miura Beach Summer Festival Fireworks Display
Aug. 8th (Tues) 19:30-; rescheduled for 9th if it rains on 8th.
Location: Miura Beach
Access: 5 min. walk from Miura Kaigan Station, Keihin Kyuko Line
■Kanazawa Festival Fireworks Display
Aug. 26th (Sat) 19:00-20:00
Location: Umi no Koen (Sea Park)
Access: A short walk from Umi no Koen Minamiguchi Station, Umi no Koen Shibaguchi Station, or Hakkeijima Station on the Seaside Line.
