[IKE13-49]Announcement for students starting their first year in high school in April
Please complete paperwork for high school tuition support fund and residence card.

<High School Tuition Support Fund (SHUGAKU SHIENKIN)>
Beginning April 2014, the tuition support system for first year high school students is changing.
The new system, the High School Tuition Support Fund provides all or partial tuition for applicants attending public or private high schools.
If application is not completed, students are responsible for their own tuition.
Please ask regarding the application process at the high school into which the student plans to enroll.

■Eligibility: Household income of under 9.1 million yen (approximate annual income); student enrolling in high school (public or private) in April 2014.
■Application method: Submit application and tax declaration form that verifies household income to the high school in April.

<Residence Card>
By the 16th birthday, a foreign resident is required to apply for a residence card at the Immigration Bureau.
Application is accepted six months before the 16th birthday.
