There are many fireworks shows and international festivals in Kanagawa Prefecture. In case of bad weather, fireworks shows may be postponed or cancelled.
Fireworks Shows
■ Jul. 12 (Sat.) 19:30-20:10 Kurihama Perry Festival Fireworks Show
Location: Kurihama Beach, Yokosuka City
15-min. walk from Kurihama Stn. on the JR Yokosuka Line or Keikyu Kurihama Stn.
■ Jul. 23 (Wed.) 19:20-20:10 Kamakura Hanabi Taikai
Location: Zaimokuza Beach, Yuigahama, Kamakura
15-min. walk from Kamakura Stn. on the JR Yokosuka Line; 5-min. walk from Yuigahama Stn. or Wadazuka Stn. on the Enoshima Dentetsu Line (Enoden).
■ Jul. 27 (Sun.) 20:10-20:30 Ebina Shimin Matsuri
Location: Ebina Undo Koen Park
15-min. walk from Shakke Stn., JR Sagami Line; 20-min. by shuttle bus from Ebina Stn., Odakyu Line.
■ Aug. 2 (Sat.) 19:00-20:30 Atsugi Ayu Matsuri Ohanabi Taikai
Location: Confluence of Sagami-gawa River, Nakatsu-gawa River, and Koayu-gawa River in Sagami City.
20-min. walk from Hon-Atsugi Stn., Odakyu Line
■ Aug. 22 (Fri.) 19:30-20:30 Shonan Hiratsuka Hanabi Taikai
Location: Mouth of Sagami-gawa River, Hiratsuka City
From Hiratsuka Stn. South Exit on the JR Tokaido Line, board the bus bound for Suka-minato and disembark at the final stop. It is about a 10-min. ride.
■ Aug. 23 (Sat.) 19:00-20:15 Sagamihara Noryo Hanabi Taikai
Location: Upstream of Sagami-gawa Takadabashi Bridge, Sagamihara City
From Fuchinobe Stn. South Exit or Sagamihara Stn. South Exit on the JR Yokohama Line, board the bus bound for Suigotana and disembark at the final stop. From there it is a 7-min. walk.
