[IKE14-14]Temporary Special Benefit for Child Rearing Households and Temporary Welfare Benefit for Low Income Households: Following the consumption tax rise to 8% as of April 2014, some people are eligible for either of these one-time benefits.

Special Benefit for Households with Dependent Children
Households with children born after April 2, 1999 can receive 10,000 yen per child. There are income limits for eligibility. Application procedure varies by municipality. Application forms will be sent out once preparations for application acceptance are complete.

Temporary Welfare Benefit
People with low incomes are eligible to receive 10,000 yen. Application forms will be sent from municipal offices to those who are considered eligible.
