[IKE14-15]Be Careful of Heat Stroke
During physical activity or work in a hot, humid place, if you suddenly experience severe heat, please be careful not to get heat stroke. Symptoms of heat exhaustion include high body temperature, fatigue, dizziness and headache. Extreme cases can lead to unconsciousness or even death. Children and the elderly are susceptible to heat stroke, so special care should be taken.

Precautions against Heat Stroke
■Be sure to replace lost body water and salt through sweating, etc. (Even if you are not thirsty, try to drink fluids occasionally.)
■Wear cool clothes.
■When walking outdoors, try to walk in the shade and wear a hat or carry a parasol.
■When indoors, open the windows or turn on the air conditioner to cool the room.

※Multilanguage information about heat stroke and other illnesses as well as information about medical institutions are available through telephone consultation by AMDA International Medical Information Center. AMDA also provides telephone interpreting service to foreign residents in their visit to hospitals.
