A “fiscal year” refers to a period of one year defined for a specific purpose.
The Japanese fiscal year generally begins on April 1st and ends on March 31st.
Government offices, schools and many companies use the fiscal year starting on April 1st.
Public holidays in fiscal year 2024 are as follows.
Government offices and schools are closed on these holidays.
(2024) April 29th, May 3rd to 6th, July 15th, August 11th to 12th, September 16th, September 22nd to 23rd, October 14th, November 3rd to 4th, November 23rd.
(2025) January 1st, January 13th, February 11th, February 23rd to 24th, March 20th.
